The Saga of Belsnickel: Ulvie and the Frost Giants

Our Christmas traditions could have been lost forever had it not been for a young boy named Ulf. In an age between Norse Paganism and the new religion of the Christian God, when the veil between realms still shivered with the breath of old magic, a boy of the North is called to a task no child should bear.

The ancient gates between Midgard and Jötunheim have been shattered by treachery. The dwarven sentinels lie slain, and a winter deeper than any known threatens to swallow the world in frost and silence. The mighty spear of Herr Klaus, Gungnir is broken, and all eyes turn to a single hope: a boy named Ulvie, and the old axe Stíffinnir that hangs at his side.

Guided by faith, and accompanied by his loyal reindeer, Donner and Blitzen, Ulvie must brave the haunted trail of Frystväg and confront the trials spoken of in forgotten covenant, trials of sight, voice, and sacrifice. But as he passes from boyhood into manhood, he awakens not only ancient powers but also the wrath of giants who would unmake the world.

From snow-laced forests to the icebound gates of Gjöl, this tale echoes with the timeless struggle of light against darkness, courage against despair, and the unyielding truth that sometimes, the smallest voice may carry the greatest power.
