This afternoon I made my annual journey to the hidden glades of the PúttØrevolk. Few have ever seen their woodland halls. Fewer still have heard them sing. Their homes are not built to conquer the forest, but to dwell gently within it. Great beeches and ancient oaks form living pillars above them, while soft moss carpets the earth beneath their feet. Crystal springs wind quietly among the roots, and every breeze seems to carry whispers of songs long remembered.

Today I have climbed the old watchtower that stands high above the forests of Thuringia. It is a journey I make several times each summer, not because anyone has asked me to, nor because there is danger upon the horizon, but because every soul occasionally needs a place where the world grows quiet enough to hear what truly matters. The climb is neither easy nor swift. The ancient stone steps have been worn smooth by countless generations of watchmen.

The warmth of summer has settled comfortably over the forests of Thuringia. Though Christmas may seem far away, life in the North remains busy. In fact, I have spent much of this summer visiting old friends and checking on certain preparations that, while unseen by most, are essential to the Christmas season. Just last week I paid a visit to the Thurinickel folk.
